Moody Park is bounded by 10th and 6th Avenues and 12 and 6th Streets and the area consists of a mix of newer and heritage homes. Moody Park itself is a 23 acre park that is home to fields, lawn bowling, tennis courts, playgrounds and an outdoor pool. Moody Park was created by the city in the 1800s to commemorate Colonel Richard Moody, who founded the city with the Royal Engineers. The park is an integral component to the Moody Park neighbourhood.
